Tips to Styling a Cozy Corner Using 6 Items
"It doesn't matter how big or small a space is. What matters is if you can see the potential in what that space could be, and bring that vision to life with pieces you love."
Watch as Kelley Daring, Founder & CEO of Bagnet, creates the coziest corner using only 6 items.
3 Steps to Achieve This Look:
1. SIZE MATTERS
Choosing the right piece of art that both elevates the space while being mindful not to over power the space is important to bringing in personality. The size should feel "just right" - not too small, but not too big.
Choose a color palette that enhances the feeling you're looking for. Don't be afraid to change this out seasonally for completely different moods.
2. MAKE A STATEMENT
If your corner is small, consider one or too "heavier" pieces. I used this vintage sitting chair and upholstered footstool. The dark wood details ground the space and provide contrast in texture and height.
3. TEXTURES ARE YOUR FRIEND
No matter the season, choosing weather appropriate textures will create an atmosphere that is inviting. Use wools and knitted fabrics for fall and winter, and linens or other lightweight fabrics for spring and summer.
Plants and fresh-cut flowers not only provide life, but the added aromas complete the feeling.
