I AM PASSIONATE about interior design and beautiful living, and am forever scrolling Pinterest, Instagram and design blogs. I seem to never get enough of the beautiful images of living spaces, home decor, and objects. As you may know, I am currently renovating my home and I have so many ideas about how I will decorate once we are moved in. There are so many elements of design and decor that I am loving right now, so I wanted to share some of them with you today!
I don’t consider myself a moody person, and I
am generally drawn to light, bright spaces. I go
for walks and see houses with the shades or
curtains drawn during the day, and I’m
incredulous. Give me ALL. THE. LIGHT.
However. I absolutely love a dark and moody space. When done right, I am filled with a yearning for candle and fire light, soft music, and a warm blanket. Give me a glass of red wine or a mug of tea, a great book, and some good conversation. Give me a cold rainy day, a game of Scrabble, and fuzzy slippers.
It’s a mood and I am here for it every time.
In my opinion, the cafe curtain is a
seriously underused and under-appreciated window treatment.
What provides privacy but still lets in a ton of light? Cafe curtains. What looks amazing whether a formal pinch pleat or a casual tie-top? Cafe curtains. What’s the most affordable and easy to install of all window treatments? Cafe curtains.
Take a look at these photos and change my mind. I’ll wait.
